In "Heureka" inventors* are at work! A success spoiled full professional, a dreamy fantasist and a yet unrecognized inventor, who may be on the verge of her groundbreaking breakthrough. But how do inventions actually come about and what consequences do they have for our lives? What drives us to want to invent something in the first place? And what does it take to create something new? Luck, chance or even something like the great stench of London in 1858?
In their search for answers, the three inventors* discover in amazement that the best inventions were often made by women, and experience in a historical fast-forward who invented what for what purpose. In the process, they themselves are also inspired to make new inventions and provide for unintentional new creations. There is emptying, stumbling, plucking gut strings, juggling with bones and pressing the wrong keys until no stone lies on top of another - and until the invention itself is reinvented.
Kolypan's "Heureka!" is bizarre, amiable, and in love with detail. Highly musical slapstick with a frighteningly easy learning effect!
