Doyle Bramhall II carries on a great family tradition, and no less an authority than Eric Clapton calls him "one of the most gifted guitarists I have ever encountered." Texas-born Bramhall is not just the son of legendary singer/songwriter Doyle Bramhall, he has himself been an essential figure on the American blues-rock scene for over thirty years. When he was just 18, he toured with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, then he was a founder of the mythic Arc Angels along with Charlie Sexton (now lead guitarist with Bob Dylan?s touring band). With his first solo album in 1996, Doyle Bramhall II established himself as an original singer, songwriter and elegant stylist on the electric guitar he plays left-handed and with the strings upside down.
Doyle will come exclusively to Basel for two concerts immediately following his gigs at the Royal Albert Hall with Eric Clapton and before the tour with him. In Basel, the exceptional guitarist, singer and composer will present his terrific new album Shades. Doyle Bramhall II is well on his way to becoming an absolute star..
